WB Health Department Assistant Professor Recruitment Qualification Criteria:

• Assistant Professor

Age:

The maximum age limit for applicants is 45 years as on the closing date of submission of online applications. Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per Government of West Bengal norms.

Education:

MBBS degree included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part- II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956) AND (ii) a Post Graduate qualification MD/MS/DNB (for disciplines under the Broad Specialities group) in concerned subject and as per these Regulations AND (iii) a Post-Doctoral qualification DM/MCh/DNB equated to DM/MCh-(for disciplines under the Super Specialities group) in terms of Schedule-1 in the concerned subject in the “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998” as amended by the “Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions (Amendment) Regulations, 2019” framed by the Board of Governors In Supersession of Medical Council of India, Notification No. MCI-12(2)/2019-Med.Misc/189334 dated the 12th February, 2020

WB Health Department Assistant Professor Selection Process:

The selection will be based on a Written Examination / Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by an Interview. Only candidates who qualify in the Written Examination / CBT will be shortlisted for the Interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in both stages, subject to verification of documents and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

Salary:

Rs. 15,600 – 42,000/- (Pay Band) plus applicable Grade Pay, allowances, and other benefits as per Government norms
